Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't know if I made one
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? I don't think so
4. Did anyone close to you die? No
5. What countries did you visit? Peru
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? A less judgmental perception of people
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? I think the first Thanksgiving show at Fool's Foundation, because it was probably the best show I've ever been to. oh and spring break.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I don't know
9. What was your biggest failure? I don't know. Summer was kind of a failure.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I don't think so. There was a week where my foot hurt really badly when I kicked things.
11. What was the best thing you bought? a bike
12. Where did most of your money go? Food and Records
13. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Summer and the Mount Eerie show and a friend's return from Scandinavia
14. What song will always remind you of 2005? Bob Dylan - Spanish Boots of Spanish Leather
15. Compared to this time last year, are you ...Older or wiser? Older
Thinner or fatter? fatter
Richer or poorer? richer
16. What do you wish you'd done more of? recording, bike riding, traveling
17. What do you wish you'd done less of? fighting, getting upset, sitting on the computer
18. How will you be spending Christmas? This song by a guy that Scott room-mated with when he went to Baltimore
32. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? I don't know.
Hey there.
I bought a 7-inch at a Mount Eerie show a couple weeks ago that was a split with a band called The Love of Everything. Despite that I think I listen to Mount Eerie more than anything, I am in love with the Love of Everything side but unfortunately can't find any other recordings by him. I've tried soulseek and limewire and nothing and no record stores around here have anything. So if any of you have anything by him and wouldn't mind sharing I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey. Long time no post. Band things are kind of over August the 2nd being as Scott leaves the day I get back and then Mike leaves for college. That's weird. All the times we didn't play are all coming back to bite us in the ass it seems. Our fault I suppose.

I hung out with Briana yesterday. It had been a really long time, but I felt like it might have been the first productive thing I did all summer being as I haven't made an effort to see anyone I don't see alot for quite a while.

I've been listening to Books a lot lately. I think it might be the most creative music I've heard in a long time. I really like it a lot. Really nifty vocal samples I think.

I'm in the mood to play music. I've been recording songs on my computer, but they are all really cheesy I think. Kind of knock offs almost. I recorded a song that doesn't sound like a knock off today actually, but now I hate it. I can't ever like anything for more than a minute.

Dear Fools Foundation,
I fucking love you because you are hosting The Advantage and Old Time Relijun just a few days apart and during the summer. WELL THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8th, THE TWANGLING JACKS (name subject to change based on when the rest of the band realizes that yentl or xanadu are much better names rather than naming ourselves after a shakespeare reference) WILL BE PLAYING AT THE CHRISTIAN BROTHERS OPEN MIC NIGHT! WE WILL BE PLAYING A COVER OF THE PIXIES SONG WHERE IS MY MIND BECAUSE GUITARIST NUMBER 2, ZANE GRIFFIN, IS SUCH A WHINEY BASTARD THAT HE CONVINCED MIKE AND MYSELF TO JOIN HIM ON THIS MUSICAL ENDEAVOR RATHER THAN DOING A BETTER PIXIES SONG. WE WILL ALSO BE PLAYING AN ORIGINAL SONG (ALSO OF ZANE GRIFFINS CHOOSING) THAT SOUNDS LIKE HIS TWO MAIN MUSICAL INFLUENCES, COLDPLAY AND INTERPOL. I WOULD MUCH RATHER PLAY OUR POST ROCK, EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY/MOGWAI-ISH SONG BEING THAT THAT WOULD BE MY MAIN INFLUENCE MUSICALLY, BUT ZANE IS WHINEY SO WE WILL PLAY HIS SONG. THINK COLDPLAYS RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD SONG DOGGY STYLES INTERPOLS A TIME TO BE SO SMALL AND THAT BECOMES OUR SONG, WITH ITS EMO TITLE OF "WINTERS". IT WILL BE COOL I PROMISE. COME CHECK IT OUT, EVEN IF YOU LIVE ALL THE WAY IN BOSTON OR SOMETHING! THAT IS ALL! MIKE VATTUONE WILL BE DRUMMING AS WELL AS SUCKING ON THE DICK OF HIS PREDECESSORS! IT PROMISES TO BE A GREAT SHOW.

it should be exciting stuff. i had pictures of me in kindergarten but this computer wont upload.

open mic night was pretty fucking fun. it was scott, zane and i's first real performance as a band per say and it went alot better than i had expected. we had dave up there on the keys. except, the keys werent turned on. he was just up there for show and credibility. all in all it was fucking fun as hell. i was turned up too loud though because there wasnt a direct out for my amp so i just had to guess at the volume so you couldnt really hear scotts parts too well. i was disappointed because i fucking love his solos. im really glad the ramblers played because they are one of the best local bands out there right now. scott and i were talking to them after our performance and when they told us they were actually astounded by it we fucking shit bricks. being in a band and also being a groupie is a tough job. i went back to scotts for the night and astrid and jordan came over and we watched benny and joon. scott and astrid fell asleep on the couch in oblong positions and jordan and i sat in the kitchen just talking and such. those are the kinds of times with her that i like the best.

yesterday was our last official day of school. it looks like im out of cb forever finally. it turns out im going to miss more people than i thought which in most regards sucks dick. i have to go study.

i think im stalking someone. although, i dont physically follow her, i just always end up near her and i think she thinks im stalking her. im listening to this cd called 'taken from a high school journal' which was my favorite album aroudn the time i met barbara. pop/punk was so god damn good. the only bands on it still enjoy are link 80 and merrick. how weird. i remember being so proud of myself too once. katharyn was relaying to me her favorite bands which at the time were nofx, bad astronaut, the huntingtons, and various others. i remember i said id heard of 4 of them and she guessed which ones they were and she didnt htink i had heard of the huntingtons and we were friends for like 5 minutes. do you wanna dance with me? all this apathy has really made me think more about the past. i dont know what hte fuck the purpose of this is. i just found all these pictures i took of me over the summer. my hair is shorter and im wearing different clothes than i would wear today. its funny how people change. its funny how people will cut their hair so they look like shit so they can be indie. its funny how stupid people are and how stupid i am for thinking myself above them.

britney spears shirt and girl's sweater. summer was weird. yet fun.

i can be fucking yanni if i want.

i liked decorating skateboards almost more than skating.

this is an alkaline trio background i made a while ago. does someone want to make it the background for my jounal?

i went to scotts this weekend. we were intent on actually doing some recording but i suppose intent is not enough motivation. mike and zane came over and we just played for 3 or 4 hours straight. unfortunately, zane and scott only play songs that fit the musical genre of "classic rock" so there wasnt much room for interesting stuff. it was really cool to play with a drummer like mike. hes just really fucking good and he could just do anything and make it sound good. all in all it was just one of those days where you wake up the next day and youre not unhappy that its sunday because saturday was so good.

my aunts over, she brought over two boxes of records. if she has dark side of the moon i will have a vagina spam.
